The IIMM have long been supporters of sail training in Ireland. Recently I was invited abord the sail training vessel “Brian Boru” to see how that support helps to to introduce young people to sailing, teamwork and character building opertunities. Thank you to Captain Peter Scallan, Hugh and Phil for the invite. Recently the vessel hosted a group of transition year students. One of the students, Laura Dwyer has sent on a very well written report of her experience. She has kindly granted permission for us to publish the article.
