The Don Curtis award is chosen by the staff of NMCI and is given to the first year deck student ‘you would most like to sail with’, so an all round strong student, not just book smart.
This years award was presented to Aoife Hynes.
At the same event IIMM made its annual presentation of a book to the Holland library in NMCI. This years book was ‘Chief mate/ Master unlimited: Orals Notes’. This was accepted by Dr. Brian Devitt, Head of College. It was a fitting title to choose as it coincided with the announcement that NMCI will be resuming delivery of a Masters Orals prep course next September.
