Chris came ashore with a Master’s ticket in 1988 to teach at Fleetwood. After time with Videotel and at Lancaster Uni, he formed his own consultancy.
Chris is a qualified teacher and executive coach. He holds degrees from the Open, Lancaster and Birmingham Universities. He’s a Fellow of the Nautical Institute and also of the Society for Education and Training and a Member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.
He’s facilitated learning for more than 30 years and currently tutors and supervises for the MLA College in Plymouth. He also designs and delivers leadership and personal development programmes. These include one-to-one coaching interventions for sea-going officers and shore staff. He writes curriculum for multi-media productions and delivers public speaking courses.
Chris lives in the North West of England. Apart from family, passions include making music, gardening, reading, theatre, fell-walking, cooking, cycling (slowly) and classic Land Rovers. He’s recently enrolled on an A Level Course in English Literature.
Chris strives to inspire others to embrace life-long, reflective learning. And by that process, to maximise potential, extend personal boundaries and have some fun along the way.
